After victory  in Assam all alone, the BJP is confident of handing its fortune over another northeastern state, Manipur. The BJP made its presentation in Manipur Assembly in the last by-survey winning two seats.


With an aggregate of 60 Assembly seats, Manipur has been among the last bastion for the Congress. Boss Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, who was initially delegated for the post nearly a similar time when Narendra Modi got to be CM of Gujarat.

Ibobi Singh has been the Chief Minister of Manipur since 2002 and wanting to beat hostile to incumbency for the fourth back to back term.
