Bhubaneswar: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Wednesday submitted an affidavit before the Orissa High Court on the status report on renovation of Jagmohan, the ceiling of Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri .
Mentioning in the affidavit the ASI has said the complete repair and restoration of the ancient ceiling could be completed by June 2017. It also said, steel framing of the ceiling will be completed by November this year.
Notably, acting on a PIL, the High Court had asked the ASI and the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to submit their latest and detailed reports on the repair of the dilapidated ceiling by August 17.
